Ingredients
- 1 tbs lemon juice
- 1 – 15 ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed (reserve 2 tbs of liquid)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Tahini
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 – 2 tablespoons (packed) chopped fresh cilantro, optional
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional
- 1 – 2 tablespoons fire roasted diced green chiles, optional
- Greek olives, optional
Method
- In a food processor, add black beans, reserved liquid, lemon juice, tahini, garlic, and seasonings. Process until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Adjust seasoning.
- Stir in chopped optional ingredients, if using. Garnish with paprika, cilantro, and Greek olives. Serve with toasted pita or fresh vegetables.
